Lots of things going on this week. Phone calls, social activities and working away on my indie apps.

## PreviewSmith 2026.3 release

With there being a new beta of Xcode 27 out this week, there was a need to get updates out for PreviewSmith to handle the changes involved. The way that Xcode handled connections from apps over MCP now required using XcodeOpenWorkspace first before access is granted to any of the mcp tools available.

## HealthKitty

A new release is currently "waiting for review" and this is a fun one that was worked on. There is a new insights tab that gives an overview of everything going on with your health and allows focus on Today, This Week and This Month. It shows raw metrics alongside a narative summary of what has been going on.

## RideJournal

Starting to prepare for adding in AppIntents behaviour to Ride Journal was a focus this week. Lots of time spent getting my head around what is possible for a journaling app and having it interact with Siri, Shortcuts and AppIntents. A new release should appear shortly with this behaviour.

## Preparing for the OS 27 releases

This week Apple announced it's annual September event which usually brings with it a day that the next OS versions will be made available. I spent time this week finalising what I'll get done for those releases and making sure that everything is working well on the next OS releases.

## /dev/world Melbourne

Thursday and Friday this week were spent at [/dev/world](https://devworld.au) and I was one of the many amazing speakers at the conference. It was such a lovely time spent chatting with everyone there and learning from amazing people. The talk I gave should be up at some stage soon and I'll let you all know when it is.

## MobileDev.community

So, I've been working on something new. It's hard to keep a girl from building things and sharing what she loves with everyone. One thing I'm trying to see built is a way for indie developers to tell their own story and share what they are working on. I'm building this as a way for local communities to share more about the people involved and what they are doing. There is so much going on that often doesn't get the attention it deserves.

## Contract work

I'm still on my lookout for my next bit of contract work, so feel free to get in touch. I would love to build some amazing apps for others and help out teams to achieve their goals.

## The week ahead

This coming weeks focus will be on [RideJournal](https://delightfulapps.co/products/ridejournal) and [PreviewSmith](https://delightfulapps.co/products/previewsmith). I've got some amazing new features almost ready to share with everyone.
